It appears that terrorist attacks are way up in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Afghanistan recently booted its Islamofascist dictatorship, and held successful democratic elections.
I wonder if there's a connection?
And while I'm at it, could it be that terrorism was once much lower in Afghanistan because the terrorists considered Afghanistan to be under their control? Could it be that the terrorists have started operating in Afghanistan now, because the elections have clearly demonstrated that the Afghani people are no longer sufficiently terrorized?
It makes sense. It also leads me to wonder: Why don't religious fundamentalists in America commit acts of terrorism on the grand scale we've come to know and love from our Islamofascist neighbors?
Clearly, it must be because the extreme Christian right considers itself to be in charge in this country. There's no need to terrorize Americans into submission if they've already submitted, right?
But now comes a horrible thought: If the liberals succeed in their aim of wresting control of this country away from the Jesus-heads, then won't that lead to a tsunami wave of terrorist violence against Americans? Won't the fundies bring the car bombs and the IEDs and the God-blessed beheadings? Won't they fight with every dirty trick in the terrorist arsenal, to regain their control of this fine nation?
Of course not!
The good liberals of the world would never let that happen. This is because the liberals are people of diversity, love and tolerance. The liberals are concerned with nothing more than figuring out what they have done wrong to anger others. They are dedicated only to apologizing for their mistreatment of the oppressed, and doing whatver they can to atone for their evil deeds.
Since liberals are all about love and peace, and constantly insist that if they were in charge, nobody would hate anybody anymore, and we would all live happily together in peace, I must assume that if they took control of America, their first act would be one of reconciliation and understanding with the right-wing religious zealots, and that these zealots would come away happy to live in an America where the liberal leaders truly understood, accepted and loved them, and worked tirelessly to safeguard their interests and defend their beliefs against discrimination and hatered.
Am I right?
