MONKEY: Wait a minute. If Truth is unknowable, then why do you hate President Bush?
PANTS: Because of all the evil things he's done! Duh!
MONKEY: Yes, but how do you know he's done all these evil things? Have you witnessed them yourself? Even if you had, can you really trust your own senses?
PANTS: Stop trying to hide behind the oppresive logic of The Man! You know as well as I do that Bush has done more evil things than Hitler!
MONKEY: Hold on there, Sparky. That's your narrative, not mine. My narrative is much more optomistic and wonderful. Why must you insist on believing in a narrative of cynicism and hate?
PANTS: My name isn't "Sparky".
MONKEY: It is in my narrative. Now you're just being culturally insensitive.
PANTS: What are you talking about?
MONKEY: You're denying the validity of my narrative. You're trying to impose your version of reality on me. I know we have different--even opposing--narratives, but could you at least try to apply your consistently?
PANTS: . . .
MONKEY: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disrespect you. Is consistency not a part of your narrative? My bad. Anyway where were we? Oh. Right. Can you prove that your name isn't Sparky?
PANTS: . . .
MONKEY: Yeah. Didn't think so. Now, please explain to me why you hate Bush so much.
